Review on 🧹 Weiler 25232 24" Economy Medium Sweep Floor Brush with Black Tampico Fill: Effective Cleaning Tool for all Surfaces by Kattie Steffens

Be careful when using it as a stone oven brush

Addendum: After a brief initial spark when used in a hot oven, it seems to have tamed itself. I continue to use this brush to scrape burnt flour off hot rocks while baking bread and they have worked. There is no more spark. Yes, parts of the broom hairs are deformed, but they work. Original Review: I bought this brush because it needs to be made from natural Tampico fibers. Tampico is naturally resistant to high temperatures and many pizza oven brushes are made from this material. I bought this brush specifically for my pizza oven which runs at around 500F - that's 1/4 the price of Tampico brushes sold as oven brushes. Unfortunately, this brush is not suitable for cleaning a hearth oven. I don't know if it's not Tampico or if there are different grades of this material for hot applications. The fibers have a slightly synthetic feel and are black in contrast to the beige "oven brush" fibers. Using this brush on 500F stones caused some of the fibers to melt and I saw sparks as they briefly ignited! OK, I dared. I'm sure the brush will be great for sweeping up flour and dust in my bakery.

Cons
