These shoes are "enough" comfortable and provide good cushioning when walking. They dig into the heel a bit but I think they will loosen up over time. I have several pairs of Crocs "Walu" shoes that I wear in stages (the last step is gardening) but the Walu is no longer available in my favorite color and size. So these seemed the closest and I decided to give them a try. I agree with the other reviewer that they are moderately comfortable (should get better over time) but have an "orthopedic" feel. The design is not casually "sportyβ, but rather dressed like passers-by at "all you can drinkβ morning coffee meetings at McDonalds. They look okay I think, but not young or trendy. And I'm not that young myself, but "young" enough to see Dr. to avoid Scholl's gaze! I have to find something else. I have Merrell's and other brands of summer canvas shoes, but for me Croc's Walu served the purpose of being casual, easy to slip on and off, and even have an attractive "look" with some patina. I can't see them aging as gracefully, and I think my only complaint is that they don't look like what I was hoping for, to my liking. It's just an "orthopedic" look. But the price is fair and I believe they will be comfortable with a little wear.
