I have an outdated Windows 7 era computer (running Windows 10) as a second computer in the upstairs bedroom. The machine was handed to me and connected to a Rosewill PCI card to provide Wi-Fi capability. This card worked reliably in Windows 7 but became buggy in Windows 10. From time to time I had to uninstall and reinstall the original drivers. There were no Windows 10 drivers I could fix. It was obvious that I needed to update the map. But since the computer is in a corner away from the router, I knew I needed something with an antenna. I came across this Techkey USB adapter. The adapter arrived and installed quickly, along with a driver minidisk. Through the USB 2.0 ports I get a reliable, strong and stable signal with a speed of 270 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz channel and 240 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz channel. As far as networking gear goes, I usually prefer Linksys or Netgear, but I took a chance and went with this one and it worked really well. I would highly recommend this device if you are looking for a cost effective wireless replacement car solution.
