I have had excellent results using White Diamond's polish on aluminum and stainless steel. It works very well and I recommend it. Cons #1: It's very runny and watery, wants to shed the buff or foam cone. It needs to be rubbed very well into the wheel/cone before spinning it. And yes, I shake the bottle well before use. Disadvantage #2: After the varnish is applied to the surface and a black paste is formed, the instructions say let it dry for a few minutes and then buff the dry residue. For me, the polish stays wet. Even if the parts are stored in the warm room of our house for more than 24 hours, they never dry out. Attempting to use a buff or squeegee on a wet surface will simply clog the buff/squeegee with wet paste and smear the surface of the part. For me it's best to just wipe it down with rubbing alcohol or some other solvent. Your experience may vary.
