P/N 905331 I was having fits to get this to work on MacBook Pro (OS 10.10.5) when I asked for remote access to the system from OTP VA converted to PIV. The problem was NOT with the card reader (it is on IDmanagement.gov's approved list). The problem was the recommended card reading software. After migrating from Centrify to OpenSC and removing the old ID keys and passwords from my keychain, the reader works like clockwork. If you are planning to upgrade from OTP to PIV for Mac remote access, call NSD and ask for version 4.1 of the Mac CAG User Guide and a link to download OpenSC (the current 4.3 User Guide does not have instructions for OpenSC. ) (Be sure to contact an NSD support specialist who is familiar with the Mac). You need to remove old passwords and IDs from your keychain and then everything should work. (This information is in the troubleshooting portion of the current Mac CAG Version 4.3 User Guide, which was actually written for fresh installs and is no different than OTP/MobilePass).
