6 modern cores and 12 threads per top ten is just an excellent indicator. The stone itself will never boost on all cores up to 4.2 Hz, no matter what you do. If you set the knobs to 4.2 Hz for all cores with the selection of the optimal voltage, then the performance increase will be a ridiculous 7% and the temperature will rise significantly. By default, auto overclocking was enabled on my mother, and as it turned out, it works best, 3.9 Hz for all cores and 4.2 Hz for two, three cores. By itself, the temperature constantly jumps in idle time from 30 to 40 ° C, in a load it does not rise above 70. Because of these jumps, you need to adjust the operation of the processor fan so that you don’t go crazy. The RAM requires careful selection of timings and not only primary ones, and only after that the pebble is revealed. All of the above is not a shortcoming of the stone, but only specific features. If you are not ready to set up and experiment with the selection of parameters, take Intel twice as expensive, and even with snot under the lid instead of solder =)
