Beautiful, compact pen set for drawing and writing. They can be used for calligraphy or drawing, or to add detail to multimedia art. I showed them to my daughter who is a painter by trade and also teaches drawing. She was very impressed with the set and range and how neatly and conveniently they were packaged. She specifically asked if they were waterproof. I'm sure she will use this brand for her own purchases. I think this set can be recommended to a serious student who has signed up for a drawing lesson. This is true for beginners too, but I didn't rate it for beginners as it would be misleading to think that a young child or elementary school student would need this set of pens. This set is perfect for a high school student taking an advanced art class or a college student.
