I have just received this player and was impressed with the quality of construction and the obvious foresight of its design. I love how you have to open the tight-fitting lid/display to place a DVD in the tray above the slot on other players (to keep debris out of the disc area) and the solid construction of the players. The audio output has enough presence to keep the player at a distance and really hear the sound! That surprised me a little. Also a (dynamic) audio leveling feature that causes some DVD sounds to get too loud and then so quiet that you can't hear them. I hate that on some low sound level turntables. In this case you don't have to worry. The Dynamics setting reduces the dynamic range and reduces this effect. I'm glad I spent a few bucks more and chose this one over the others.
