Love this lens, my favorite zoom lens in my bag. This lens is sharp, quick to focus and better than the new fantastic plastic lenses. This is a very good general purpose lens. If you have a newer camera like the d750 you will need to lock it to f22 and use the camera to set the aperture. There are many old "Made in Japan". very good lenses and cost a lot less than the newer lenses they have replaced. Pay a little more and get a pristine copy and you will be very happy! I checked the autofocus and found that my front was a little blurry at 85mm and the back was a little blurry at 28mm. This is fairly common with the zoom lenses I've tested. I use mine mostly indoors between 28mm and 70mm and all my photos are very clear. You can zoom in and see the peachy fuzz on a woman's face with incredible clarity.
