This was bought to replace a similar item bought 50 years ago that lost half of its bristles (sort of). He's slightly smaller. The bristles are (kinda) smaller and closer together. The holder is very secure but unlike the original item (which had a rounded handle that fits securely between two fingers) does not allow the brush to rotate when deemed necessary. Edited to change this conclusion: further experience has shown that by placing the stylus between the fingers instead of sticking the finger through the hole, this brush works just as well as the one it replaced.
