You get what you pay for
Very easy to assemble. It started to pump water just as soon as it was placed in the birdbath. However, direct (and bright) sunlight is essential. Otherwise the water will spurt out in jerky motions. For me, that is not a problem. Be aware that you will need to check water levels frequently and cleaning away any debris is a must.This pump, at this price point, has met our expectations and we are pleased with it.
