These lovely looking wooden bowls take me back to my childhood. We have only used these species in lettuce cultivation. I thought I would like them (I ordered 2) but they seem flimsy and a little cheap like they could break easily. Not only that, for some reason they stunk horribly for days after being taken out of the box. I'm not sure why, maybe some kind of varnish? I won't be using them for food, but they go well with my other wooden items around the house, so I only use them for wrapped sweets when we have parties. I wouldn't feel safe if any food touched these bowls. I very much doubt I will buy them again.
