Carrying is a breeze.

I have a few rescued German Shepherds. I bought this for my boy who came to me over 100# and NO manners NO training. He was a wild man who was never allowed to walk by the time he was a year and a half, so he was on the brink of insanity. He lived in an apartment with a small outdoor area big enough for a table, a couple of chairs, and a BBQ. A large willow and a notched collar should have been a must of his training. We got along well and he did well with the traditional barb; but I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and getting a properly seated needle in and out was a real agony. When I saw this type of martingale I jumped at it. It's very well made, well sewn, with a clip in the middle that looks like it could last through my boyfriend's craziest days. The martingale nylon is generous so I can set the teeth properly and still have enough room to put it on his head. The weight of the teeth keeps the rings for your leash on top of your neck. The only downside I can think of is the lack of a chain. When my friend heard that *Ching!* chain, he quickly de-escalated. This was a preliminary signal to the dog that if he didn't restrain his behavior, he would feel the bite of the barb. But now, at the age of six, at this stage of training, that is no longer necessary. Since he rolls well and is now a generally well-behaved citizen, he serves as a stopcock for us. He had a wild and traumatic childhood and sometimes things work out. I will achieve that every time. Easy for him, easy for me and a very well made training collar. It saves my friend.
