I'm glad I went with the carob coffee maker; the brew is significantly different from what you'd get from an automatic machine, and it makes a great cup of coffee for one or two people. It looked like a lot of effort in the mornings at first, but after diving in I found that things settled down after a couple of tries. In general, this year I discovered De longi, and after using their coffee maker and dishwasher, I can say that they are the best kitchen appliances I've ever had.
