I wanted something I didn't need to plug in that the radio could play when I didn't want to stream music from my device but still had the ability to do both do if i wanted to. This radio is perfect. I keep it outside in the shade on the patio, and the reflection of the light keeps the solar panels charged I think. Never connected. The +/- buttons annoyed me the most. If you press and hold them in the volume control. If you just press it quickly, it tunes the radio. It feels like they can add 2 more buttons so each has its own function. But I still love the product very much
