So let me just say right away my baby LOVES this toy. She likes a giraffe that has a little music box that plays "It's a small world," she loves a monkey with a ring gear, she loves an elephant with a squeaker inside and crepe paper ears, and she loves that they're so stretchy are. If you drag them, they will return to their place. However, the first week we had him, she was too small to even reach him and the plastic rings fell off the elephant. No one touched or pulled him, the threads of the ribbon holding the rings simply snapped and they fell off. It doesn't seem cheap, the toys are all very soft, but it still fell apart without even touching it. I can sew them back on, so I'm only deducting one star.
