We have an old Vicks warm mist humidifier that works with no problems. We believe that using it every night kept our child healthier over the winter. I ordered this product when our second child was born thinking it was the same product. This has a smaller cap that needs to be removed when filling the water tank. This seemed good, after a week it was leaking, our parquet was bulging and warped. Started putting a pan under the block in case it leaks again. It happened a few times, but not always. I exchanged the device after the winter season because we didn't want to do without a humidifier for our children's room for the 3-4 weeks of shipping and replacement delivery. The new one also happens to leak. I think it has something to do with the increase in pressure in the tank as the temperature changes. We take great care to ensure that it is collected after refuelling. I'm almost ready to call the manufacturer in hopes of exchanging it for a model that matches our original Vicks humidifier or just getting a refund.
