You get a lot for your money with this tank. The light can support soft corals and I like two of the three color modes. The filtration works well but the pump is small so you need a small breakwater to improve circulation. The protein skimmer is tricky, but works well when set up. The heating is also sufficient. Instructions are almost non-existent and nobody replies to the email that comes with the documents. The "Instructions” on the protein skimmer packaging is an item description and does not say anything about the use of the protein skimmer. If you've never had a reef aquarium before, this can be frustrating. Since the aquarium is small, I limited the fish to two clownfish and a shrimp, as well as hermit crabs, clams and a few snails. The glass top is chunky and blocks a lot of light due to condensation on the glass. Water changes are easy due to the limited number of gallons. If you settle for a few fish and "beginner" coral this will work fine, if not I'd go with more. Of course, the costs also increase.
