I used to use a piece of tape to close a tear in the driver's seat, but the tape moved due to seat movement when seated. I bought this upholstery tape, cleaned up the tear, and then carefully applied and trimmed the tape. This tape is very sticky so I tape it to the seat very carefully so there are no wrinkles or creases. The tape is very similar to the gray seat cushions and after a few weeks of summer heat this tape held in place and didn't come off the cushion. Works perfectly.
