I think these filters are better than the original Shark filters. The cylindrical foam filter is denser than the Shark and filters dust better. After using the vacuum cleaner for a long time, the foam filter is very dirty and the flat round cloth motor pre-filter looks clean. When I used the Shark OEM filters, the flat round cloth filter was always dirty after vacuuming. The filters are fairly easy to clean with dish soap and water. The HEPA filter also seems to work. It doesn't seem to get as dirty as the OEM version, probably because the foam filter catches more dust before it gets into the engine.
