Unknown part number? "New Jen " made in Malaysia. Is it worth? Full review!

This review is for the new generation 128GB model. A non-yellow tab indicates at first glance that the card is not counterfeit. However, this does not seem to be a problem with "New Generation" cards. The product has an unembossed "Made in Malaysia" label on the back. The only thing that confuses me is the part number. The only thing that makes sense is that this card is NOT a US market card, which could very well be why some people are having trouble with US market cameras. I strongly recommend formatting the card before first use. I've searched the SanDisk website for different regions and can't find the model number SDDSDXY-128G-GN4IN. My "google-foo" also doesn't provide any conclusive proof that it's a legitimate model number. The only legitimate model numbers I can find for sure are between what this card represents, namely: SDSDXXG-128G-GN4IN, SDSDXXY-128G-ANCIN and SDSDXXG-128G-ANCIN. Strangely, even Singapore (Malaysia) does not have a model number. We're all fooled, who knows? Whether they work, it seems hit or miss. Is it worth it, probably not. That's why I give 3 stars here. Will do further testing to ensure it actually works as advertised. If not then I'll stop being cheap and just pay a mule for real retailers. I'll be back. Updated 12/5/19. Good I'm back. I decided to order a few US market versions of these cards from Best Buy (the Black Friday sale was cheaper than this Revain version). The model number is obviously different. The packaging is also different. The card comes in a combination of "old generation" cardboard packaging with a "new generation" plastic sleeve with a plastic insert between the cardboard. As seen in the picture, the "new generation" model here comes in the same envelope but in a real box. Interestingly, both Best Buy and the "new generation" Revain cards are identical. The back has the same alphanumeric combination and both say "Made in Malaysia". After all the cards were tested, they all showed the same read/write speeds. It is VERY important to note that for optimal performance of these cards it is essential to use the USB 3.0 input with a UHS-I compatible reader. Whether these Revain cards are fake or not, the new generation looks and works just like the US market cards. So I am increasing it to 4 stars. Minus one star for the odd part number which seems illegal and the fact that despite all this research you can actually get a US market card for the same price during certain times of the year. .
