Review on Sigma Contemporary Cameras Advanced Travel by Seth Gomez

Really good budget lens for Sony E-mount

Tested this lens on Sony a6000, attached photos are not processed. I was looking for a mid-range lens to complement my standard prime lens kit. Having used the Sigma 30mm I must say that I am very satisfied with the purchase. The focal length and large aperture offer great flexibility for all types of shots, from portraits to landscapes. It seems to work well in both bright and low light, although I haven't tested the latter in detail. The lens is sharp in the center with limited roll-off towards the edges. I didn't notice any vignetting or color distortion. There is some chromatic aberration in bright reflections, but much less than my Sony 50mm f1.8. The autofocus is fast too, I'm happy with the design of the lens. This kit with additional accessories is also good, especially the amazing quality pair of filters. I've been using a polarizing filter for quite some time. There are a few cons, but certainly nothing to stop me from buying this lens again. This lens can be very, very sharp with manual focus, but the autofocus leaves a bit of sharpness on the table, which annoys me a bit. Also, the colors aren't the brightest, and I did some retouching at the end. but definitely nothing to stop me from buying this lens again.
