I purchased this as part of my transition from 3x9 speed to 1x9 single chainring (32T). The rear cassette replaced my 9-speed 11-32T. The cassette purchase included a rear derailleur extension, but it was a bit short for my rear derailleur (although the B adjustment screw may have given me more room), so I bought a longer one. With my new front sprocket and rear cassette, I still have low gear ratios for hills, but I've lost some top gear ratios for speed. With the hills I ride I let gravity down the hill :)
