Works very well for large rabbits!

In the 11 years that I have had rabbits as pets I have tried many different bowls. I have two 8 pound bunnies and one loves to mess up his litter box for fun and throw litter everywhere. She refuses to use the litter box for her own business, preferring to walk by and poop everywhere. I have two of these, one for each large bun, and they are amazing! They're light enough that I can easily handle them, but heavy enough that even my pesky bun can't pick them up and throw them. Being big enough for my buns to easily fit in with a healthy helping of hay, they happily spend their days peeing where they should be while eating. I've been using them for a few months now, cleaning and sanitizing them weekly and so far I haven't seen the plastic crack; the material does not become porous. These bowls are deep enough that I can add another layer of bedding and hay every day, meaning I don't have to clean them every day. Being able to layer the box and not have to clean it daily is great, but it also means that if I empty it every 5-7 days, the bottom layer has already started to 'compost', for lack of a better word, and all of the contents is out of the box, because the garbage goes straight to my compost heap. The only downside I've found is that the box is big enough that it's a little difficult to empty into the backyard compostable garbage bags I use when it's full. Again, the bags should be 13 gallons, but I doubt they will hold more than 10 gallons. They're also very thin, so the bag or box issue is a matter of perspective. I am very happy! So far so good!
