Review on Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM UD Lens: High-Quality Standard Zoom for Canon DSLR Cameras by Akemi Tsuruoka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied with the purchase one hundred percent, I recommend the product for everyone.

I have been using it for 5 years already, I am very satisfied, I use it in conjunction with the Canon 500d. Before that, I used a whale 18-55. The difference between them is palpable. 100% sharpness is very pleasing, now you don't need to "increase" it in the editor. The focal range is the most for shooting while traveling (I just didn’t have enough in one direction or the other). The stabilizer works wonders (compared to a whale lens). When choosing, I looked closely at the models 10-22 and 18-85 from Kenon for a long time. Reviewed a lot of reviews and pictures on the net. in terms of sharpness and range of focal lengths, it was not equal at the time of purchase. The main thing when buying is to choose a good copy from several, I came across 2, one of them was soapy, be sure to test for sharpness before buying. The Chinese assembly can be very different, you can stumble upon a marriage, or you can also find a very cool copy!

Pros
  • A very good picture, the focal range for me is what I need for crop.
Cons
  • 1. Over time, the lens spontaneously starts to extend (if directed to the ground) 2. Expensive
