a waste of money. It's been over 6 months since I bought the cartridges but I only tried installing them for the first time a few days ago. The printer simply does not recognize them and refuses to accept them. I've tried everything. I took the first yellow cartridge, did it exactly according to the instructions, pulled off the rubber band, then I saw that it didn't work, shook it, nothing helped. Then I played a little with the chip, also flashed the printer several times, calibrated - nothing helped. The same happened with the 2nd yellow cartridge in the pack. So, at least for the J497DW, this seems like an unsuitable replacement.
