Review on HARDELL Metric Mandrels 100Pcs Carrying by Dhoal Black

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broken on first use

The tool looked great, came with all sizes of rivet nuts, dies looked solid and were steel. Unfortunately, the key part of the tool — the orange piece that holds everything together and bears the load — is made of aluminum. It should be steel forging. I installed 6 nuts and on the 6th the threads had come loose from the tip rendering the tool unusable. I have set the instrument correctly. I know how to use them. The collar was properly tightened, the neck was properly adjusted. (By the way: the instructions weren't very good). I haven't overloaded the handles - I've been pushing for 70 years so I don't have the strength to abuse the tool. I did not use "cheaters" on the handles. nope He just grabbed the handles with my arthritic hands and ripped his nose out. Upon inspection, I saw all the aluminum shavings on the mating hardened steel threads and thought "this part must be steel". So I sent the device back for a refund. I didn't expect the replacement to be better. I think I'll have to spend a little more money for one of these.
