Updated review: Finally got around to hard resetting the tablet and probably gave it to my son to disassemble. The heat issue kept getting worse and it got to the point where I find it unusable. I've had it for about 15-16 months. I stopped using it, got a replacement tablet a few months ago and gave it to my son. Even he quickly got tired of overheating and restarting. We had several other tablets and many of them had much longer lifespans. It became more of a backup tablet for a few months, but it also became unreasonable. I would say we really haven't used it in over a year. The second problem is that you cannot run large applications without restarting. Spontaneously I would say FallOut Shelter or Pokemon Go. My son could list a few more reasons why he feels cold or overheated, I just wanted to give an example. I've been running Ingress on it for several months with minimal issues. For this price I would go for a more expensive tablet. I initially recommended it as a cheap tablet, but I can't do it anymore. Old Review: This was a great tablet for what I use it for; However, it shuts down due to overheating to avoid damage or the like. The first or second time this happened and I figured it was reasonable because it was a hot southern summer day when I sat in the car for a while while at the store or in a similar situation. This has happened more frequently, even occasionally in my office where it typically averages 70-72°F per day. I thought it might be due to the combination of the case I bought for it and the GPU while we're playing it, but I haven't fully tested that theory yet. I turned it off when I was looking for something and it didn't help my attitude towards it. I don't use it on mobile, but I use it a lot on Wi-Fi (mostly via my phone) and it works fine. My kids used it to stream Netflix/Hulu/YouTube with ease while driving. We've played a lot of games on it (like Fallout Shelter, Pixel Dungeon, Lego Games) so the GPU seems to work well with the amount of RAM. Oh, and Ingress (Go Blue/Resistance). We use Google Maps a lot. The camera (back) takes good pictures in well-lit areas, which is roughly in line with my experience with most portable digital cameras. I would say this is a pretty good Android tablet for the average user. I'll try running without a case for a while to see if it might have something to do with my heating issue and I won't often dock the tablet for this as it might just be my model. As many have mentioned it has 2 speaker grilles (holes on the back) but the instructions say only 1 of these is a real speaker, they put 2 on for beauty. As many have pointed out, placing the speaker on the back can make listening in noisy environments difficult, if not impossible.
