My daughter, who got this laptop for Christmas, took great care of it, kept it clean etc. One day, unknowingly, the pen rolled onto the keyboard as she was closing it. Not that she took much trouble to close it, but when she felt the resistance of this device, there was a serious defect on the screen, due to which the lower right third was unreadable. Local spot and the cheapest I could find was way more than I wanted to spend. To make the long story even more difficult, I found this bad boy replacement screen for Revain for comparatively cheap money. Got the damn thing, found a repair tutorial online and put it back together within an hour - the screen looks like new. Please understand that this is a process. I used a weekly pill dispenser to keep the screws etc for each of the steps so I know how to reassemble them and in what order. I have quite a bit of experience in computer assembly, electronics assembly and assembly, so this wasn't a big issue. However, I would give this repair process a 6 or 7 out of 10 in terms of difficulty. If you have the skills or are up for the challenge, the amount you save doing it yourself is PRICELESS!
