I purchased this to replace a SMSL Sanskrit USB DAC which arrived with a defective USB port. So far it's working beautifully. My computer recognized it and installed the appropriate drivers. I've run it using both the USB and Optical inputs.both are infinitely better than the sound coming out of my computer's internal sound card, and that one is a significant upgrade from the one on the motherboard. Sounds are crisper, noise level is inaudible and it's just plain cleaner.This is an easy investment in better sound. Couple it with a small class-T amplifier and for less than $200 you'll be blown away by the improvementHighly Recommended!
