This has split 4 concrete blocks. Two 2x8x16 and two 4x8x16. I cut a groove along the center line with a stone blade and then tap and tap with a chisel. A bit of a rough cut, which is to be expected, but it does hide those ends. Since I only carved 4 blocks I can't answer the durability question.
