Poor choice of ventilation and SATA data cable

Overall, judging by the specs, this seems like an impressive choice despite the device being primarily plastic. Not as much. The 70mm x 15mm fan is a super cheap sleeve bearing assembly, but wait, it uses a fully custom proprietary connector and is either very noisy or can be slowed down and doesn't cool well. The fan has a very cheap sleeve bearing, so that all means if, not if, and most likely sooner (<1 year) than later, the fan fails, you just can't buy another 70mm x 15mm fan and" associate". This also means that you can't easily replace a "quiet" 70mm fan, or a long life bearing fan, or both. Fan shroud as the fan is offset from the back of the unit (no 70mm fan shroud) so you will need to modify the fan shroud to allow the standard 3 pin cable to come out of the fan shroud and then you will need to purchase a separate 3-pin pin plug for food. So if you remove the fan case, the fan rises from the back of the case by about 8mm, so you're mostly pulling air from inside the case and not through the SATA drives, and the SATA drives are likely to overheat. . Another downside is that the SATA data connectors are "backwards" so you can't use right angle SATA connectors to minimize device depth in your case - only straight connectors will work, so this adds even more depth to the is required for corps. All in all, some very poor design choices make for pretty good no-bay hot-swappable SATA implementations. If the SATA data connectors were rotated 180 degrees and the fan bracket was flush so it was easy to install a "standard" 70mm x 15mm fan with a standard 3 pin connector, this would be an absolutely stunning one Choice. Deeply flawed design. That being said, it will probably work fine for up to a year, but there are way better options out there! When I called King Win, the caller was very offended by my suggestions for improving the product - he didn't seem to take constructive criticism very well. By the way, there is only one guy in King Win who knows very little, so he can't answer technical questions. Unfortunately, due to design flaws, I am returning purchased (2) units. They are completely unsuitable for continuous use. I'm still concerned about the durability of the device, which is mostly made of plastic. Plastic becomes brittle over time. Plastics also don't transfer heat from SATA drives to the case, so all you need to keep it cool is a fan, and if that fails, it'll quickly overheat.
