I'm relatively new to Sony's line of lenses for mirrorless cameras. About a year ago I was only using Sony point and shoot cameras but I was looking for something new when I found my A6000 mirrorless camera but as a newbie I didn't know that 30x optical zoom is not the same as 55 times. 210mm, so that was a bit of a shock. It's really my fault for not doing my research properly. I had no problems at all with this lens. In fact, I think it takes better photos than the 20-55mm lens that came with my camera. I can look out my bedroom window and take nice photos of the bird's nest in my neighbor's tree. It's a bit big and it's almost impossible to just hang it around your neck with a camera. I would even go so far as to say that the camera doesn't feel all that balanced, but I think that's normal for a lens this big. I will continue to buy larger Sony lenses to hopefully capture the distance my old camera was.
