Review on ACDelco 252 845 Professional Water Pump: Optimal Performance & Durability by Kevin Overturf

After much research I decided to purchase an OEM water pump when mine failed. It looks like you are buying an OEM AC DELCO water pump. When mine arrived it was packed in 2 boxes with a "Genuine AC DELCO" hologram sticker on the outside of the 2nd box. Upon further inspection, the part number on the water pump itself was not even close to being found. The sticker on the water pump read the numbers 18-1652 and no other numbers or markings. When I checked, the Eastern Industries part number turned up. I was very disappointed that AMAZON is selling a product that is obviously not the brand you think you are buying. I removed the old water pump and the truck was ready for the new water pump when it arrived. I needed my truck for work the next day, so I had no choice but to use an aftermarket water pump. All I can say is I hope it will last as long as the original DELCO AC (200,000 miles) but that is highly doubtful.
