Review on PNBO Upgraded Adjustable Benchtop Woodworking by Ray Richards

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Waste of money

It has no locks. All controls vibrate when you try to use them. The stock is securely attached to the bench and the tree is centered, but all adjustments loosen during operation. Also, the deck is bolted together in 2 pieces so there is a section on the mount that cannot be used for either the tailstock or the tool brace as the brace that connects the two decks together gets in the way. The soundboard is made of very thin-walled metal tubing, and if the endstock or tool brace is overtightened, the soundboard tube can easily break. It is not possible to buy a 4-jaw or Jacobs chuck for this lathe, which limits what you can do with it. Overall I give zero stars.

Pros
  • Wood lathe
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes
