I bought a medium aircraft carrier solely for air travel. My dog is 8 pounds, fits comfortably in a bag and appeared happy and content throughout the flight. He slept for most of the 2.5-hour flight, occasionally poking his head out when awake. I was a bit nervous getting on the plane because the dimensions under the seat on this particular plane are 16L x 15W x 10H. This luggage rack measures 18L x 11W x 10.5H so I was worried it would push too hard. It fits very well though and the mount is flexible enough that you can apply some pressure to slide it under the seat. so my puppy can stick his head out when he wants to see me. - Photo #3 shows how I positioned the carrier as we took off and landed. — Photos #4 and #5 show the wearer when fully submerged. Seat. You'll see that although it's technically 2 inches longer than the seat dimensions, it still fits great. I will say this is not the strongest trunk but I really like it as it fits under seats under 10.5. Customs service. I used to have another bag that was stronger but it was difficult to squeeze under the seat and definitely wouldn't fit on this B767-300ER. The strap isn't very comfortable for your shoulder when dragging an 8 lb dog through the airport, so I'll most likely swap it out for a thicker strap I have on another bag. However, you can always use shorter handles if the shoulder strap becomes uncomfortable. I'll also note that I'm 5ft 10" tall, so I booked a Delta Comfort+ seat to get more legroom. However, the dimensions under the seat in the C+ are the same as in the main cabin and I think that smaller people will have enough legroom in the main cabin, even if the bag is a little longer. Overall I love the bag and look forward to many more flights with my pup!
