Compared to Sony's dock, Oivo's dock's design is better for displaying controllers, which I personally prefer, but the result is slightly larger. Both have a standard charging output (5V, 3 amps) that allows for a full charge in around 2 hours. However, the Oivo dock uses a USB-C cable for power, which is superior to Sony's more traditional power adapter cable. The more versatile USB-C connector makes it easy to place the Oivo Dock anywhere and choose the right length for your setup. The Oivo dock also has a pair of charging status indicators on the front display, which is a nice touch. These lights can be turned on and off with a switch on the back. Light on or off has no effect on the charging process. Finally, the Oivo Dock costs less than the Sony Dock, making it a great alternative. Overall, my honest opinion is that I like the Oivo dock more than the first batch controller dock. Since the Sony dock is still hard to come by, this can be a good choice that will save you a few bucks too!
