I am a woman who wears her hair naturally with no relaxers. I'm not exactly sure what hair type I have, but I'm pretty sure it's category 4, impressively thick, not very coarse. When my hair is wet the thickness is still there but not as thick when dry. Whenever I walked into the salon to get my hair done, the stylist would always laugh because it took me forever to feel the water on my head as she prepped it for the wash! She is that fat. Once inflated, it becomes silky with lots of body. I am sharing this with you to help you decide if this product is right for you. Let's move on to using the product. I have to say that I rightly didn't want to buy a product for my hair that looked so obviously threadbare. Honey, my hair doesn't "tangle." There is no confusion here, dear! I was watching some YouTube reviews and reading Revain reviews and decided to give it a try because, hey, what's the harm? Oh dear, the bad thing is that I'm wasting my MONEY, TIME and EXCITEMENT. This product is not for "African Americans with thick coarse hair". I even went so far as to detangle my hair as before and THEN try this prototype on my hair. No bueno. No Bueno at all, DO YOU HEAR ME?! This brush has a ridiculous shaft that holds the brush rungs together while you untangle them. Baby I'm all black and we don't need nothing that can be matched so easily with this beautiful hair we're adorned with. The bar moves and snaps out doing everything it's supposed to do because again it's detachable and adjustable and with the slightest movement, boom, it pops loose. This isn't life. I bought it hoping to reduce washing and combing time. I wouldn't even suggest buying this for doll hair because we all know that mess gets tangled. Well if you have a long straight wig I would suggest human hair can be perfect but again stick to the hair accessories you already know to be true.
