Review on Enhance Control and Comfort with RC Pets Martingale Training Dog Collar by Holly Hernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good martingales that would be great with a few tweaks!

I loved that I found a martingale that not only had multiple colors but also great patterns to choose from. I bought three of these, one for each of my dogs. They seem to be long lasting as I've had them for a few months now and they still look great! Of course, they are easy to use and not expensive at all. However, I would give it a five star rating and even pay a little more for it with a few tweaks. First, they would be easier to use and there would be no qualms or concerns if they also had a clip for a quick release in case something happened (like the collar snagging on something). Second, there should be a little band to hold the ends together when it comes to the ring. Without this band, the collar sticks out to the point of breaking and also allows enough movement to loosen a little. I had to tighten a few of the zippers until they were good enough to keep the loop from sticking out. Also as for the quick release buckle, it's necessary as I couldn't tighten the collar enough for the chain to pull the two rings of the collar together for attachment instead of touching. This prevents an absolutely accurate correction without making the collar too small to take off easily over the head. The quick release buckle allows the collar to be shortened enough so that during correction around the neck the collar can be tightened enough to fully capture their attention while still allowing the collar to be quickly removed if necessary. I hope my explanation makes sense!
