Although I agree this is a silly price! However, I don't know how some people can break so many filters that don't really need servicing more than 3 or 4 times a year! I keep a lot of Severums in my 220 as well as 6 adult Oscars and 2 Jack Dempseys. I use each of my filters in 4 month cycles and just one broke due to my mistake after 6 years! My 135 African tank that is attached still has all the original clamps. So, yes, they are overpriced and not made the way they should be. Again, what are you guys doing when you break so much? Maybe overwhelmed? You just have to tighten them with your thumb! However, they also work for FX6. No problem with replacement
