Review on APC P3U3B Surge Protector with USB Charging Ports: Safeguard Your Devices with 1080 Joules of Protection by Chase Cooper

Expected more from APC

You'd think the venerable APC logo means something, but no, it's just another rebranded Chinese generic. Too light to have quality components, hum when tablet is charging, occasional sparks in (too narrow) NEMA connectors, more USB ports than can actually power it. The UL listing supposedly means it's safe, but the sparks and buzzing make me wonder if the manufacturer cut corners after receiving certification. Probably no worse than other manufacturers, but no better either. Too bad RAVPower doesn't seem to have anything to do with NEMA outlets, surge protectors, and a phone/tablet stand.
