Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Bike Bits Presta Valve Adapter: Effortless Presta to Schrader Conversion + French/UK to US + Easy Inflation with Standard Pump or Air Compressor by Andrew Agarwal

Electric air pump hose pops out of valve too easily

I bought this valve to inflate racing tires with an electric air pump. After about 45-50 pounds of pressure, the hose will pop out. Previously there was no such problem with the Schrader valve. I partially solved the problem by wrapping duct tape around the top of the valve. Now the hose detaches at 75 to 80 pounds, which is close enough. Update 2021: I was at a bike shop this weekend after some asshole stole my Presta inflator and converter from my bike bag. When I went to the local bike shop to swap everything out, I saw a container of $2 each Presta converters on the counter. This kept the pressure at 85 pounds, which is where I set my surge limit. They are made by Innovations, part number G3612 and I wish I had bought them the first time.

Pros
  • Valve caps
Cons
  • Don't really like it, it's ok
