First of all, the assembly is a bit strange, but it holds up perfectly. I've read other reviews about them getting blown off the freeway and I can only assume those other people didn't follow the installation instructions. I have driven them 5,000 km and they are fine. Warning: once you install them, don't expect to remove them. The wedge is made of butyl material which will stick to your mirror and will be destroyed upon removal. Follow the installation instructions and they won't come loose. Clean the back of the mirror to allow the butyl to stick to it. Make sure the set screw aligns with the notch in the wedge. Secondly, the rating got 4 stars and not 5 because the mirror on the passenger side is flat. I would give 3.5 stars if I could because it's really a bit annoying since only the driver's mirror is fully useful. The passenger mirror was supposed to be convex like the original passenger mirror, and every road car has been that for 40 years. As such, the passenger mirror is somewhat useful, but I think I'll end up gluing a convex mirror onto the flat one to make it more functional.
