There are many suspension wire kits out there that do basically the same thing. This one, I think, is no different and gets the job done effectively. I was able to use two of these kits to run wires from the solarium (sheet metal) to the trees (wood, yes) to the house (vinyl siding over plywood I think). All the tools and tools included in the kit worked great! I only had to get sheet metal screws as it was an atypical application. But after a month they are still holding up. They've been holding 300ft of light for a few weeks now. The PVC or similar around the wire is held tight, the wires don't sag at all and all attachment points are held tight. (So strong that I couldn't unscrew it when I wanted to move it to another tree. The tree was also probably a little bloated from the humidity and rain, so that's it). All in all, if this kit has what you're looking for, get it because it works.
