Overall a good set but I found the guide to be too thin. I wanted at least 1/8" inner thickness not counting the outer coating which was 1/16".

Wife wanted cafe lights on our patio. Before I knew it, she ordered the light. I wanted to check prices and facilities. After checking prices for hardware to install in the home department, I decided to give the kit a try. I am 90% satisfied with the set and accessories and 100% with the price. My headlights are hung and look good for half the price.

The cable is light and very strong. Because it's braided and coated, it's easy to work with. I was dreading drilling holes for anchor hooks in my house, but I used a 3/8 bit and the built in expander on the hooks really worked. A very professional looking setup. This is a kit - I bought two and the cable spans are over 90 feet with very little slack.

Overall a great product. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hardware - in fact it's stainless steel and the carabiners are quite strong. The wire is surprisingly thin though - I believe it says 480lbs (which should be 480 ft-lbs). ?). If you're planning on threading that tight cord through the loops provided, you might want to look at something with a higher rating. I will update my review if it breaks.

I LOVE this product! After changing my expensive garlands 3 times because they broke off the wire and weren't strong enough to hold them up, I've finally had enough. I was looking for the best solution to hang them and I found this amazing product! It was very easy to use and actually made it easier for me to turn off the lights before thunderstorms and winter. The tension wire is very strong and solved my dilemma. Highly recommended, have already convinced my brother to order a set too!

the nylon jacket wire seems very strong. Being a steel cable, keeping it dry is of paramount importance and it looks like it will work. I didn't use mounting hooks as I was working in trees but the rest of the hardware is fine. You'll have to be sure to drill a pilot hole to insert the screws as you always do, but they worked great and I think I only partially trimmed one head. There are many suspension wire kits out there that do basically the same thing. This one, I think, is no different and gets the job done effectively. I was able to use two of these kits to run wires from the solarium (sheet metal) to the trees (wood, yes) to the house (vinyl siding over plywood I think). First Review: This is a very handy kit for pendant lights and other projects. I used it to hang Edison lights in my garden. All parts appear solid and of high quality. I really like the loop closure that uses hex nuts on machine threads instead of a ferrule that requires you to constantly crimp the wire. If you make a mistake and your wire is too long, no problem. This set has a lot going for it. The fasteners - shackles, carabiners, etc. - are well made, smooth and good looking. The coil of wire is good; The nylon coating is attractive. Two issues for me: first, the screws don't have enough "bite" to be used without pilot holes in the wood, and they're a bit softer than I'd like.
