Should not be the same as Asian version

I ordered 2 of these. I knew it wasn't the same, and it didn't have a microphone, remote, water resistance, etc. It's ported, so it can't be waterproof. Ported enclosures give a different kind of basic behavior, like a pair of studio monitors. The Asian version is more karaoke-oriented than party-oriented. The US version also has a larger battery. The US version is more like a party box, less karaoke and cheaper I suspect as that LED lighted wireless microphone looks expensive. It may have other differences in characteristics, for example a battery. It's possible that the US version sounds better. Update: I tested a column next to D9. I removed the grilles and measured both woofers. D9 measures 3 4/12 inches. The T9 is 3 7/12 inches tall, so it's only 1/4 inch larger on the outside of the foam fairing. See photo. They seem very similar. I think both sounded great, but the larger case and ported case sound slightly better on the T9. I'm pretty sure the tweeters are identical. The T9 sounds a bit louder, but keep in mind that the decibel to watt ratio is only about 1/3. 20 additional watts T9 only 6 or 7 dB louder. At maximum volume, I could not detect any distortion from any of the speakers. The box says there's a bass boost called 'live mode', which isn't specifically there, but the manual does say what it says are indoor and outdoor modes. There's more bass in the default mode, and pressing the button will likely focus more power on the highs and mids, and brighten it up. Standard mode is better. It says something about the "Bass Up" technology, but I think it's referring to the ported case (one of the reasons it can't be waterproof) which makes the bass a little less punchy (like the passive radiator of the D9). and usually makes it sound lower. It didn't sound too boomy in my opinion, but it was a little deeper than my D9.5/11/21. Update: I opened up the device (see photo) and added some fiberfill to make it softer. As you can see there is nothing inside. You will need a long Allen key to remove 12 screws. Internal components, wiring etc - all very solid and professional. In fact, I received a "defective" device that loaded but the controls didn't work. The red light was on all the time and wouldn't come on. I opened it and the ribbon in the control module was not installed directly. I unplugged it and plugged it right back in. Works great now or so far. I broke them with TWS and they are really impressive. This is not a ghetto blaster or a party box, but a pleasant hi-fi sound in a home stereo system. No speaker in an enclosure, even if it has stereo L/R drivers, will deliver a good stereo field unless it's within 24 inches of your face. The T9's tweeters are very close and centrally placed, which doesn't exactly help. Probably because they want it to sit upright most of the time. When positioned sideways, the separation of the tweeters is zero or on the vertical axis, while the mid-woofers are on the horizontal axis. All this said to say that (2) in TWS is the way to go for T9. They are worth a trial period, especially in TWS. Probably nothing compares to a smoother, more consistent response in the party box market. Powerful booming bass and boosted highs are very attractive at first, but after 20 minutes your ears and head start to ache. (2) T9 is a more professional sound system and also works at lower volumes. I've included a sketch of a cabinet kit (almost a perfect fit) that I'm going to use to turn the T9 into bookshelf speakers. I'll post the final result when I'm done. I might port them, haven't decided yet. Check out my U-Tube videos titled "W-King T9 Transformation" if you are interested.
