Update: I tried it on a third person shooter, Control, and it worked just like a regular one PS4 controller. I don't know what's stopping first person shooters from working well, but all the other games suited me fine. ------------------------------------4.5/5 Stars. . The downside of this controller is the somewhat slow response of the joysticks. Everything else works very well and feels well made. I would recommend this controller to anyone not into competitive online gaming. DETAILED REVIEW: I usually play Battle Royale and FPS games like Apex Legends and Warzone and I needed a new controller that would allow me to aim and turn accurately. Using this controller helped me confirm that I need to spend $60 to get a "perfect" dualshock controller that works well in FPS games. BUT this YCZHDV is a fantastic option if you don't play competitive FPS. I compared the controller in several popular games to see what differences I noticed: FPS/Battle Royale (Apex Legends): left stick, camera, slow response, which was a noticeable downside for competitive FPS. The triggers are a little tight, but that's neither a plus nor a minus. All buttons responded perfectly. Playformer (Cuphead): Absolutely no difference. Casual (Overcooked): no differences, no lags. Dragon Ball FighterZ: I didn't notice any difference when using the directional pad. Material/Feel/Battery: Material felt cheaper than the Dualshock but didn't feel like "it'll fall apart in a week". To be honest it was better than I expected. The controller grip is also comparable to Dualshock. I notice that the battery gets very hot when charging. Battery life is also comparable, which is usually a downside of these cheap controllers. CONCLUSION: The buttons in each of these games responded to Dualshock in the same way as the triggers. The left stick in particular was slow in 3D games like FPS, but didn't cause any problems in any other games. This controller didn't have any major flaws other than the joystick. Recommend this to anyone who wants a budget controller and can get over a slightly slow joystick. Definitely one of the best replacement controllers out there.
