When I first looked at kids cookware I realized I didn't need plastic. So I first chose a set of stainless steel baby spoons that were very similar (or exactly similar) to the ones my mom used with me when I was a baby. They are great, you don't have to worry about BPA or BPS or anything else that may or may not be in the plastic. Unfortunately, our little one sometimes bites the stainless steel spoon while eating, causing tears, and well, feeding a baby is hard enough without spoon-related injuries. A chance to try this spoon with her and what a huge difference! She quickly ate her entire lunch (porridge and porridge). So I ordered a set of feeding spoons and was very glad I did. Our toddler is definitely more likely to eat from these spoons. Food seems to stay in them quite well and they are dishwasher safe. Also, silicone is supposedly safe, so it's safe for me to use (at least until they find out it's really the worst thing in the last few decades). I'm really not sure what more to ask of an infant. a spoon!
