Can't confirm yet if they are waterproof but they are great and I bought them with my new (from Revain) table and chair. My chairs are new and in the style of faux leather Parsons chairs but I wanted some extra protection and a change in upholstery color and they are perfect for that. Love the textured look, they match my new chairs so well you might have to do a double take to find out they are slipcovers. I got the dark gray which - BONUS - goes perfectly with the color I just painted my kitchen! My old dining room looks almost chic and brand new! Should be washed and dried well if they are like the stretchy chair covers I have removed with Revain in the past. What about the price? Forget about finding them in most stores, not to mention the price! Excellent purchase!
