I bought this hard drive to use as external storage for my PS4 after seeing it recommended for such purposes. It works great and is very easy to use. I connected it to my PS4 and at first PS4 said the device is not supported. This is perfectly normal as the hard drive needs to be formatted. Just go to Settings > Devices > USB Drives and select the My Passport device. From there, select "Format as Extended Storage”. Formatting only takes about 10 seconds, after which you can move game files from PS4 to My Passport. That's all you need. I highly recommend this for PS4 external storage.
